If you support kratom and want to ensure it remains legal in the 44 states it’s currently enjoying its unregulated status, it is imperative you take action on the latest stealth attack on not only kratom, but according to prestigious D.C. Law Firm Hogan Lovells, just about any plant or chemical that shares similarities with ANY Schedule V controlled substance. We absolutely see this having a major impact on CBD oil and the cannabis industry as a whole within the U.S.
The attack is coming from House Bill H.R. 2851, also known as SITSA or Stop Importation and Trafficking of Synthetic Analogues which is no more than a cleverly concocted lie of a title. We believe a more appropriate name would be “Give The DEA Control over Practically Every Substance or Plant to Control and Ban at Will Without Consent of The People or Judicial Review”, because that’s really what this bill does.
According to The Hogan Lovells Law Firm, the SITSA bill grants the DEA broad sweeping powers that are not only unnecessary and unwarranted, but also unconstitutional.

So far the bill hasn’t been acted on, but we need to ensure it does not pass the House. The time to act is NOW.
The American Kratom Association (AKA) is working hard to push this back, but they can’t do it without our help, which is why we’re URGING our customers to support the AKA and kratom by signing the petition, calling the Congressman and Representatives listed below on this page and if possible, make a donation to the AKA. Everything helps!

Here’s a Call Script:
Calling is EASY! A secretary or aid will answer the phone, and you will simply read this script or some variation of it and they will thank you for your call and say that they will pass your concerns on to the Senators/Congressman.
Senators and Congressman to call:
Senator Grassley: 202-224-3744
Senator Feinstein: 202-224-3841
Congressman Katco: 202-225-3701
Hi, my name is ___________ and I’m calling Senator Gassley/Senator Feinstein/Congressman Katco about the proposed SITSA bill. As an American citizen and kratom advocate, I am urging Senator _________ to specifically exclude kratom and other natural plants from this bill. I have seen first hand the benefits of this plant to help those suffering from chronic pain or dependence on addictive narcotics. This plant deserves to be studied and Americans have the right to choose what they put into their bodies.
Millions of law abiding citizens will be negatively impacted if kratom is banned, and even though this bill focuses on synthetic analogues, the precedence set in Indiana with Senate Bill 0305 which incorrectly identifies kratom as a synthetic analogue gives me great concern that the same will happen with the SITSA bill if passes in it’s current wording. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my concerns, and please pass it along to Senator/Congressman _________.
